Back to business - business as usual - the world did not change! WE are still
the same?!
Back in Europe again. Looking forward to meet our friends and family after
one year in the far south. I just got lucky and could enjoy the last bit of
powder in Stuben and Bregenzer Wald.
FUCK this hypocracy! fUcK bUSh! FUCK WAR! How can we stop them?!
What a good start! 2003 has been so far a great year ;-) Great weather, good
surf and windsurf and interesting jobs. We will start for a video shoot down
to Tasmania in a couple of days. Looking forward to experience the "unknown
Island".
Merry Christmas to all of you! For northfaces - used to snow and ice during
this time of the year - it is really exciting to be here in Sydney for Christmas
and New Year. Instead of snowboarding we go surfing and instead of the fir
tree we sit under palms and enjoy the heat!
Work at uni has been finished for quiet a while and we have been on a 5 weeks
road trip up to the north. Surfing, sailing, snorkling, hiking, 4x4,... 10.000
adventurous KMs.
HIGH SURF! For the last couple of days there has been pretty high swell coming
to the shores around Sydney. For 3 Days there has been wind around 25 knots
aswell. This is how we like it. Surfing and Wave sailing in big conditions!
I am going to start teaching at the University of Technology of Sydney this
week. The seminar is about designing and authoring DVDs.
Sorry for the breakdown in the last 3 weeks. Tideguide has been moved to a
new server and some of the files have been lost in space i guess!?
And - we have been trippin down under a bit for the last 17 days. From Sydney
up to the north. Offroad landcruiser killing drives, coral sea diving and
some awesome surf! And - I have a new longboard.
New Office and residence Australia. Besides Austria and Germany we are now
also located in Bondi Beach, Down Under. Check
out the view.
Long time no update. The reason is, we have been very busy in AUSTRALIA. YES
we are here, there in donw under. Digital proofments will follow soon.
We are getting closer: Barbara and me will leave for OZ in the mid of April.
Allready checked out the car and accomodation in Sydney. Looking forward to
our new residence & office...
Back home in cold europe. The shooting worked fine. We were able to run several
duells and I did record great footage for the travel guide, too. Although
I broke my rips in the 2nd week I feel quite satisfied about the project.
Arrival at CPT. Unfortunately the air carrier LTU did not bring my windsurf/surf
equipment down to ZA. Now I have plenty of time to concentrate on video shooting
:-((.
Finally i got a new under water housing for my video cam. It can stand 7,5
bar this means you can dive till a depth of 75 m. On tuesday I will be able
to check the system first time in the ocean. CPT I am coming!
19 degrees celsius! Is this real? Global warming?
This winter did start that good but now the white gold is missing. Tried to
find some and hiked for 2 hours in the area of Warth. But the snow is too
heavy at the moment. Looking forward to get to CPT.
A new tideguide.org webcompetition! This time in South Africa. Ordered the
tickets to Cape Town today. From 4th feb to 19th feb we will shoot wave/freestyling
windsurfing and surfing aound the cape. The competitors so far: Lars Petersen,
Henning Nockel, Bernd Flessner, Ralf Bachschuster, Mathew Swart and maybe
Peter Garzke.
More of these perfect days in the snow. Now the powder should be refreshed.
But there seems to be no low with more snow in this area!?
Happy new year! this year should bring me down. Down to OZ. Try to find a
job at the University of Sydney or Melbourne. If you are interested in hiring
me do not hesitate to contact me.
First tracks in the pow! This snowboarding season started perfect. About 60
cm of new untracked powder and a new 2 m rad air longboard (tanker2000). Hope
to get more of these days this year.

New experience! Since today I have an university teaching position at the
University of Arts, Berlin. The lectures are about DVD-authoring.
Lars Petersen, a danish windsurfing pro developed a new competition concept
for wave sailing. Together we produced the 1st Klitmøller/dk Webcontest.

Back from the north. Had some killer windsurf and even surf conditions around
Klitmøller/dk. Thanx to Suna and Lars who let me stay in their house
close to the spot. Hope to get back there soon.
On the road again. Packing the surf, windsurf and video stuff for a trip to
Klitmøller/dk. Lars Petersen invited me for a "secret" project. A new

Finally we have done it: the new FLOW website is online. Combined with the
new design and structure we implemented a new Content Management System/CMS
to provide the editors full control over form and function of their content.
Barbarea, blyfri.de and Tideguide.org create a complete new online outfit
and content management system for Flow International, Hong Kong. A Flash based
product catalogue and a database driven publication of the upcoming events
and stories from the world of snowboarding. Check out Projects.
The world has not changed!
has reached beta testing status. After facing heavy problems with Apples DVD
authoring standards we are now ready for mastering. The "Free Your Mind" DVD
should be out in the shops around mid of october. Check out Projects
is ready. A CD-ROM production for FLOW International, Hong Kong one of the
major producers of snowboard bindings and boots. We produced an presentation
of the FLOWSYSTEM with interactive animations, videos for mac and win pc.
100.000 CD-ROMs should be released in November 2001. Check out Projects. Ý
