// REPORT Day 1
2001-02-05, 01:30 local time our plane hits cpt airport. The shock: 36 fun lovin and epic days expecting windsurfers will not get their equipment. LTU left the boardbags at Munich airport. Alex Humpel, Klaas, Jürgen, ... we all have to wait now for the next LTU flight on the weekend. This airline is really bad organised. I am wondering if they will make it for the next couple of years.
So for me this week will just be work. Tomorrow the first duells are scheduled at 10:00 o'clock at Scarborough. The forecast is pretty good: Mast high waves and winds up to 60 km/h!!! Hardcore? Riders on Standby for tomorrow: Lars Petersen, Henning Nockel, Peter Garzke //

The concept / rules for this time:we changed the whole thing to a "duell". Each contest is done by 2 competitors. Each heat is 7 minutes.

Heat duration: 7 min. with one man on the water at the time then rotating to the other. All repeated 3 times, so the Camera records totally 21 minutes of each rider. Changeing of boards and sails during the heats allowed. Each rider chooses 1 minute out of his recorded material. He determines the editing of his movie. So he is able to select the moves he thinks to be the best for his result. No special effects, except slow motion. No Repeats of moves nor editing of moves in a way where it looks like they are landed while in reality they are not. The video clips will be online after our standby period of 20 days. Around the 25th of Feb you will be able to vote for your favorite competitors. The result will be presented on this "web location". So tune in again.
