REPORT Day 12
2001-02-16,
The day for beeing late: woke up in the morning cause of
rough winds slamin our windows. But first of all we have
to put Lars to the airport. This was the 1st reason of beeing
late at Big Bay. At 12:30 the beach was too crowded to run
a duell. The riders supposed to be in: Klaas Voget and Bernd
Flessner. So we decided to shoot again with the water cam.
But this was not that lucky, too. The cam has been in the
car too long and therefor is was to warm for the housing.
The lens got foggy after 10 minutes. Again we have been
to late.
Afterwards we decided toget some food befor going to Melkbos.
The last reason of beeing late. The sun is not good enough
anymore for shooting a webfight.
By
the way on the way home we were ble to shoot a few scenes
of a major film production near Hakat. It might be the latest
James Bond?

The
concept / rules for this
time:we changed the whole thing to a "duell". Each
contest is done by 2 competitors.
Heat duration: 7 min. with one man on the water at the time
then rotating to the other. All repeated 3 times, so the Camera
records totally 21 minutes of each rider. Changeing of boards
and sails during the heats allowed. Each rider chooses 1 minute
out of his recorded material. He determines the editing of
his movie. So he is able to select the moves he thinks to
be the best for his result. No special effects, except slow
motion. No Repeats of moves nor editing of moves in a way
where it looks like they are landed while in reality they
are not. The video clips will be online after our standby
period of 20 days. Around the 25th of Feb you will be able
to vote for your favorite competitors. The result will be
presented on this "web location". So tune in again.
